Powerpuff Girls The Purge Demotivational

I'm probably one of the few who notices this... let's start from the beginning.

The plot to the Powerpuff Girls episode "Bought and Scold": Daddy Morbucks has bought Townsville from the Mayor for "a room full of Turkish delight", and as her first act "Mayor Princess" declares "crime is now legal"! But, the Girls show her that repealing crime was a double-edged sword when Daddy Morbucks is robbed and the Girls now have leverage over Princess, unless she gives back Townsville.

And here's the plot to the 2013 horror/sci-fi movie "THE PURGE": In 2022, the United States has become "a nation reborn", with crime and unemployment rates hitting an all-time low. To allow the venting of negative emotions, the government has instated a 12 hour period called 'The Purge', during which almost all crime (including murder) is legal and emergency services are suspended. The Sandin family plans to spend the night safely secured in their home, but the presence of a stranger may alter their plans.

COINCIDENCE?

Now that the Nostalgia goggles are removed from my eyes I realized something... what if someone in Townsville commited murder during the period when Princess Morebucks made crime legal... just like that new movie! Well at least it's a kids cartoon... scratch that, Powerpuff Girls is probably not a kids cartoon because of it's past as "Whoop Ass Stew"... I just don't know anymore!
